I Corinthians 2:6-7 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory;
--
I. Godly Wisdom Does Exist, I Corinthians 2:6-7
A. Not the wisdom of this age, not a wisdom from human rulers
B. But a wisdom that is from God, an eternal wisdom
--
I Corinthians 2:8 the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;
--
“The gospel is preached in the ears of all; yet it only comes with power to some. The power that is in the gospel does not reside in the eloquence of the preacher otherwise preachers would be the converters of souls. Nor does it reside in the preacher’s learning; otherwise it could consists of the wisdom of humanity.
--
We might preach till our tongues rot, till we should exhaust our lungs and die, but never would a soul be converted unless there were a mysterious power going with the preaching – the Holy Spirit changing the will of a person. We might as well preach to stone walls as to preach to humanity unless the Holy Spirit be with the word, to give it power to convert the soul.” Spurgeon
--
Billy Graham illustration of the drunken man on a flight a few rows up from Billy Graham. "I'm one of his converts." Billy Graham responded by saying, "obviously he was one of my converts and not one of God's"

I Corinthians 2:9 but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”

"Suppose that we could speak with an embryo in his mother's womb and that you would tell him that the embryonic life is only a short one after which follows a real, long life. What would the embryo answer? He would say to us that the life in the mother's womb is the only one and that everything else is religious foolishness.
--
But if the embryo could think, he would say to himself, 'Here arms grow on me. I do not need them. I cannot even stretch them. Why do they grow? Perhaps they grow for a future stage of my existence, in which I will have to work with them.
--
Legs grow, but I have to keep them bent toward my chest. Why do they grow? Probably life in a larger world follows, where I will have to walk. Eyes grow, although I am surrounded by perfect darkness and don't need them. Why do I have eyes? Probably a world with light and colors will follow.'"
--
"So, if the embryo would reflect on his own development, he would know about a life outside of his mother's womb, without having seen it. It is the same with us. As long as we are young, we have vigor, but no mind to use it properly.
--
When, with the years, we have grown in knowledge and wisdom, the hearse waits to take us to the grave. Why was it necessary to grow in a knowledge and wisdom that we can use no more? Why do arms, legs and eyes grow on an embryo? It is for what follows.
--
So it is with us here. We grow here in experience, knowledge, and wisdom for what follows. We are prepared to serve on a higher level that follows death." From Tortured for Christ by Richard Wurmbrand

I Corinthians 2:9 but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”
--
I Corinthians 2:10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
--
I Corinthians 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.
--
I Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God
--
I Corinthians 2:13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
--
I Corinthians 2:10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

John 16:13-14 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.
--
John 16:15 All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
--
Romans 8:9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
