Resurrection Centered Worship

I Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Worship: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ"

  1. Because of what He has done in the past: "who has caused us to be      born again"

          A.      According to His great mercy

          B.      It is His work and not our own

 

  1. Because of what He is doing right now: "to a living hope"

          A.      Hope is not a mere wish but an actuality through what God has              done in the life of the individual

          B.      Based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ

 

  1. Because of what He will do in the future: "to obtain an inheritance"

          A.      Imperishable

          B.      Undefiled

          C.      Will not fade away

          D.      Reserved for you

I.     Because of what He has done in the past: "who has caused us to be born again"

--

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

     A.   According to His great mercy

--

     B.   It is His work and not our own

--
