  • Last week we focused on just the first 9 words of John 1:14
  • Today I want to focus on jus the next 5 words of John 1:14 “and we beheld His glory”
  • Here is my primary point, for John, salvation – faith, believing in Christ – is equated to see and believing that Jesus Christ is divinely glorious
  • As many as received = as many as believed in His name
  • Now, we beheld His glory = as many as believed in His name
  • Remember John 1:6-8 “believe through him” the testimony of John the Baptist
  • Not something physical that they see in Jesus “He came to His own and they didn’t recognize Him.”   “Full of grace and truth.”
  • You don’t see with the physical eye things like grace and truth
  • This is a seeing with the heart or the mind or the soul
