Set Free, Romans 8:1-4

 

I.       There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1 

 

II.      How is there no condemned?  We have been set free

         A.      From the Law and the sinful flesh, which together bring forth death

         B.      By the Spirit through faith in Christ Jesus, which together brings forth life, Romans 8:2

  

III.    How does God set us free from His just condemnation of us and yet       retain His righteous character?  God sent His Son

         A.      Christ comes into the world in the Likeness of sinful flesh

IV.    For Whom Did Christ live, die and rise again in order to set free from           condemnation? Those who do not walk according to the sinful nature but           instead who walk according to the Spirit
