Romans 12:1-2 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

I.   "Therefore" and "by the mercies of God"

The Lord's Supper reminds us of the tangible expression of the mercies of God in Christ Jesus

 

II.  Present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice, a holy sacrifice and an Act of Worship

The Lord's Supper reminds us of the living sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our behalf, making our offer of ourselves to God possible

 

III.   Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind

The Lord's Supper reminds us of the transforming work of Jesus Christ in our lives through His death and resurrection

 

IV.   Thus, we will know what is God's will

  1. Good
  2. Acceptable (Pleasing to God)
  3. Perfect

 

The Lord's Supper reminds us of the good, pleasing and perfect will of God in Christ Jesus, leaving us an example to follow
