II Corinthians: Made New in Christ
The Veil Removed, II Corinthians 3:7-16

Background: The Nature of Glory

God’s glory is a comprehensive term that describes the summation of all of His attributes.  The glory of God describes all that God is and all that He has done.

The Veiled Glory of God through the Law

  1. The veil of Moses hid the fading nature of the Old Covenant
  2. The Veil of Moses functions as an analogy for the veil that remains over the minds of unbelievers

The Unveiled Glory of God through Christ

  1. Christ is the Old Covenant
  2. If someone rejects Christ, they cannot see the purpose of the Old Covenant
  3. When someone believes in Christ, they can see the purpose of the Old Covenant as the veil is removed in Christ
