          (see Mark 13:32, Acts 1:7)

II.      The Day of the Lord

          A.      Serious warning (for example see Isaiah 13:6 and 9, Joel 1:15, and 2:31,                     Zephaniah 1:14, 1:18, 2:2-3, 2 Peter 3:3-10)

          B.      Joyful culmination (for example Romans 2:4-11, 1 John 4:17-18, 2 Peter 3:11-           18)

III.     Will come unexpectedly: Like a thief in the night or like a woman in labor

IV.     "We" and "They"

          A.      "We"

                   1.       Those who believe in Christ, 1 Thess. 4:14

                   2.       Those who are "in Christ", 1 Thess. 4:16

                   3.       Those who are forever with the Lord, 1 Thess. 4:17

                   4.       Those who are sons of Light, 1 Thess. 5:5

          B.      "They" - Those who do not believe, those who are not "in Christ",  those who             will be forever separated from the Lord - "They will not escape"
